Mel’s anti-Jew-spew DWI wiped off books

Mel Gibson has atoned for his sins.

The Oscar-winning “Braveheart” star — who fired off a hate-fueled rant against Jews as cops arrested him for drunken driving in 2006 — had his criminal record cleared by a Los Angeles judge yesterday.

The actor’s lawyer had requested the misdemeanor be dismissed after Gibson completed the terms of his three-year probation — attending meetings for recovering alcoholics and performing public service.

“He does not appear to be on any sort of probation or facing any similar charges,” LA Superior Court Judge Lawrence Mira said before signing papers that expunged the DUI conviction from the star’s criminal record.

Gibson admitted speeding in Malibu at 87 mph while over the DWI limit and with an open bottle of tequila in his hand.

When cops arrested him, he barraged them with obscenities, tried to escape custody, and spewed bizarre anti-Semitic remarks.

California law dictates that first-time DWI offenders are eligible to have their convictions removed from their records after completing the terms of their probation.
