Forbes cuts ForbesLife editor

The toll keeps mounting at Forbes Media, with about 100 people laid off this week.

In the latest sign that the cuts are reaching into the highest ranks of Forbes, Gary Walther was bounced as editor of ForbesLife magazine, the lifestyle publication he has run for 17 months.

Richard Nalley, longtime senior editor, was named editor of ForbesLife. The magazine was known as Forbes FYI when it was edited by Christopher Buckley, who stepped down to become editor-at-large last year.

This week’s round of cuts includes roughly 30 layoffs on the edit side, and represents just under 20 percent of the 600-person workforce, sources tell the Post.

A Forbes spokeswoman declined to confirm any numbers.
