New York natives Jay-Z and Alicia Keys kicked off Game 2 of the World Series last night with a pre-game performance of the now-Big Apple anthem “Empire State of Mind” from center field at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx.
Wearing a Yankees hat and jacket, Jay-Z sang to a stadium of fans that continued to cheer even when the Brooklyn-born rapper chanted, “I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can.”
