Michael Jackson death investigation complete: reports

Police have completed the investigation into Michael Jackson’s death – with the case expected to go before the courts in weeks, TMZ reported.

The Los Angeles Police Department finished its probe into the star’s death last month, sources told the gossip website.

And the case will go before the Los Angeles County District Attorney as soon as scheduling allows.

Sources said it was “all but certain” that Dr Conrad Murray, Jackson’s personal physician, would be criminally charged.

It is believed he had administered the singer Propofol before his sudden death at age 50 last June.

TMZ said its sources believe a likely charge may be involuntary manslaughter.

One source said the LAPD investigation was “exhaustive” and “extremely thorough” and the D.A. has enough evidence to pull the trigger on a criminal case against Dr Murray.

But the case is also said to be complicated, in part because Dr Murray did not break any laws in administering Propofol, TMZ said.

It is understood that scheduling a date for the official court proceedings has been difficult because the time needs to suit the many people expected to be present at the hearing.

This includes members of the LAPD and the D.A.’s office.
