2 hurt in LI plane crash

A student pilot and a flight instructor were left badly burned yesterday after they crashed into an unoccupied office building while practicing take-offs and landings at Long Island’s MacArthur Airport.

The single-engine Beechcraft B19 had just taken off at 3 p.m. when it crashed a few hundred yards away, slamming into a building on Ocean Avenue in Bohemia.

The victims’ injuries were not considered life-threatening.
