Comparing your editorial-page treatment of Memorial Day with that of The New York Times makes me realize how really pathetic that newspaper has become (“The Dead We Honor,” Editorial, May 31).

You devote your entire page to the inspiring St. Crispin’s Day speech of the young king in Shakespeare’s “Henry V.” The Times devotes the bottom 15% of its editorial page to Memorial Day, and almost all of the language extols the beauty of the weather and the “senescence” of the time of year.
