Woman dragged into Central Park and raped

A Bronx woman told cops that she was sexually assaulted by three thugs early today after getting off the bus along a tony section of Fifth Avenue next to Central Park, police sources said.

The 23-year-old woman, who was apparently intoxicated, told cops that she had gotten off the bus at Fifth Avenue and East 86th Street around 3 a.m. when the unidentified men grabbed her and brought her inside the park.

The trio then allegedly sexually attacked the woman and ran off.

Staggering to the street partially naked, the woman was spotted by a concerned taxi driver, who covered her with a shirt and quickly called 911, sources said.

The victim, who lives in a Bronx shelter, told police she was raped or sodomized, sources said.

Cops were re-interviewing the victim late yesterday.
