‘Breaking Bad’ renewed for fourth season

AMC announced Monday that it has ordered a fourth season of the Emmy-winning drama “Breaking Bad,” Entertainment Weekly reported. The announcement came the morning after the show aired its third season finale.

In a statement, Joel Stillerman, Senior Vice President of original programming, production and digital content for AMC, said, “The critical acclaim and strong audience growth we’ve seen in season three reinforce that this is the kind of exceptional original storytelling AMC has become known for providing to audiences.… We look forward to an incredible fourth season.”

Ratings for the third season of “Breaking Bad” were up 18 percent in viewers since last season and up 30 percent among adults aged 18 to 34.
