The grandson of teen-lit queen Judy Blume was arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl at the family’s Martha’s Vineyard estate, officials said.
Elliot Blume-Pickle, 18, was picked up this week by Tisbury police and charged in the June 25 attack at the family’s house there, according to The Martha’s Vineyard Times. He pleaded not guilty and posted $5,000 bail.
In her blog, Judy Blume had written of attending her grandson’s graduation in May.
“He’s a good guy with a quick wit,” she wrote.
A representative for Blume’s publishers declined comment last night.
