“Jersey Shore” is finally getting another honest-to-gawd Jersey girl for its cast.
Deena Nicole Cortese is the new addition to the “GTL”-lovin’ posse, seen here as she tapes season three of the MTV series in Seaside Heights.
The 23-year-old from New Egypt, NJ, is said to be replacing original cast member Angelina Pivarnick, who will not return for a third season.
The revelation comes hot on the heels of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s recent appearance on ABC’s “The Week,” during which he said that the “Jersey Shore” cast — and at the time, only one of them, Sammi Giancola, hailed from the Garden State — shines a “negative” light on New Jersey.
“What it does is it takes a bunch of New Yorkers . . . drops them at the Jersey Shore and tries to make America feel like this is New Jersey,” Christie groused.
Now that Cortese is palling around with the “Jersey Shore” cast, viewers are due to get more insight into what actual Jersey kids do “down the Shore.”
Cortese — who has described herself as “f- – king classy” — graduated from New Egypt HS in 2005, before attending Brookdale Community College, where she was a cheerleader.
Her “in” to the controversial show was a friendship with cast member Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.
They’ve “known each other for a couple of years,” Cortese’s mother, Joann, told Radar Online. “I’d say they’re pretty close . . . Nicole lives all the way upstate and it’s hard, but they keep in touch.”
Cortese is physically a perfect fit with the rest of the cast — she looks like a mix between fake bake Snooki and busty Jenni “JWOWW” Farley.
Her expletive-laden MySpace page is littered with provocative photos in which she’s scantily clad, rarely seen without a bottle of liquor in hand and kissing other girls. She also boasts of being “addictive & expensiv3 lik3 cocaine!”
