Lindsay Lohan released from rehab: report

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has been reportedly released today from the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., following a 90-day stint.

Lohan, 24, was released after serving the rehab stint in connection with her 2007 DUI conviction and her repeated failures to meet the terms of her probation, RadarOnline.com reported.

Lohan’s mother, Dina Lohan, confirmed to E! Online that her daughter had left, saying, “It’s a great day.”

Anticipating her release, Lohan tweeted on New Year’s Day that “Today is the first day of the rest of my life. The future depends on what we do in the present.’ –Mahatma Gandhi … One step at a time…”

The actress also spent 14 days behind bars in July for violating the terms of her 2007 DUI probation.

Lohan is due back in court Feb. 25.

Lohan’s stay at Betty Ford was not trouble free. She is being investigated for assault after allegedly getting into a shoving match with a female staffer at the California rehab center where she’s being treated, authorities said last month.

The altercation unfolded at 1:03 a.m. on Dec. 12 after the actress arrived back late at the Betty Ford Center, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Herlinda Valenzuela.

It could cost Lohan up to six months in jail back in Los Angeles County, where she’s on probation for a series of DUI busts.

The Betty Ford employee was later identified as Dawn Holland.
