The dot-gov for schools

ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo plans weekly online broadcasts to schools, with updates on what the state government has been doing, info about the upcoming week, and answers to kids’ questions.

Cuomo spokesman Josh Vlasto says 16 schools have signed up so far. The Webcasts are to start in two weeks, although no date has been chosen.

The interactive Webcasts, called “Albany at Work,” also will be posted online.

Students can submit questions about government, which Cuomo says will be answered by him or other state officials in the effort to engage students in an active dialogue.
