Fire kills children’s author, 8-year-old son

A Manhattan investment banker who authored an acclaimed children’s book about ADHD was killed in a house fire along with the 8-year-old son who inspired the work.

Tanji Dewberry, 37, a vice president at WL Ross and author of “Oh Fiddlesticks!,” died with her son, Evan Soler, as the blaze engulfed their Orange, NJ, home at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, the Star-Ledger reported.

“I’m truly saddened by this news,” her publicist told the paper. “Tanji was an absolutely amazing, driven, beautiful person and a terrific mother to Evan.”

Sources told WCBS-TV the fire apparently was caused by an electrical problem.
