Two drug gangs busted in Staten Island

Two violent drug crews connected to nearly 30 Staten Island shootings were busted after a borough-wide take-down, according to District Attorney Dan Donovan.

The joint operation spearheaded by the NYPD and the DA’s Office launched the investigation, dubbed “Operation Jersey Boys,” which resulted in 24 arrests.

“Thanks to the collaborative efforts between the New York City Police Department and the Staten Island District Attorney’s Office, the residents of New Brighton can feel safer,” said Police Commissioner William Bratton.

“These crew members will no longer be able to traffic illegal drugs and firearms on their streets,” he added.
