AMC developing ‘Celebrity Bowling’

It’s not “Bowling for Dollars” — but it’s close enough.

AMC is developing “All Star Celebrity Bowling” into a series, according to a report in deadline.com.

The show, which currently streams on YouTube as part of Chris Hardwick’s Nerdist channel, features the cast and crews of popular shows — including AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and “Breaking Bad” — facing off in a bowling alley, according to the report.

The show is expected to premiere as a special on AMC.

“It has always been one of our main goals with Nerdist to grow content in the digital garden of the Internet which we could then evolve onto other platforms,” Hardwick, who also hosts AMC’s “Talking Dead,” told deadline.com.

Hardwick will also be one of the show’s producers.

“Bowling for Dollars,” which originally premiered in the 1960s — and was hosted by late Mets broadcaster Bob Murphy on Ch. 9 in New York — featured everyday people who were able to win cash based on how well they bowled.
