‘Killer’ dad stabbed wife, 2 young daughters in jealous rage: DA

Furious at finding pictures of his wife with another man, he stabbed her to death — then he picked up each of his baby girls in turn, hugging them, kissing them, and putting them back in bed before stabbing them dead like their mother.

New York police detectives have gotten a full confession from the fugitive dad who fled to Texas after allegedly slaughtering his wife and their two adorable daughters in Queens, and it’s every bit as harrowing as their blood-drenched Jamaica apartment foretold.

In the confession, Miguel Mejias-Ramos, 29, admits that he stabbed his wife, Deisy, 21, repeatedly with multiple knives in her torso, head and upper extremities before turning his last knife first on Daniela, 3, and then on Yoselin, 1, officials said.

“After drinking beer at a friend’s house he returned home on Saturday night at about 11 p.m., and went through the phone and Facebook account of his wife and saw a photo of her with another man — and he snapped,” Queens DA Richard Brown said in a press statement Wednesday.

“He allegedly grabbed a knife from the butcher block, which was in the room, and stood over Deisy and his daughters,” as they lay together in bed, the DA said, describing a confession Mejias-Ramos made to members of the 103rd Precinct Detectives Squad in Jamaica as he was held in LaGrange, Texas.

“He said allegedly that Deisy woke up and screamed. He then allegedly stabbed her and she got out of bed and ran to the front of the room and he grabbed another knife and stabbed her again and twisted it in her side and it broke,” the DA said.

“He then allegedly went back to the girls and Daniela was awake so he picked her up, gave her a hug and a kiss, asked for forgiveness, and put her back on the bed and stabbed her. He then allegedly picked up Yoselin and did the same to her.”

Detectives are planning to fly Mejias-Ramos back to New York in time for a Thursday morning arraignment.

The dad had been caught Monday night driving his white van through Schulenburg, Texas just hours from the Mexican border. He has waived extradition, according to Lt. David Beyer of the Fayette County Sheriffs Department.

He has been on suicide watch while in custody, officials said.

“The defendant is accused of a particularly horrific and brutal crime – the murder of his own wife and infant daughters,” the DA said in his press statement.

“I was at the crime scene Sunday night and as I said at that time ‘I’ve seen a lot in my 23 years as District Attorney but there is nothing that disturbs me more than seeing young children – in this case mere babies – as homicide victims.’”

Queens prosecutors are prepared to throw the book at Mejias-Ramos, charging him with on six counts of first degree murder and three counts of second degree murder.

The slayings took five knives, so for good measure Mejias-Ramos will also be charged for each knife, for a total of five counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
