Ex-Giant tased by cops after scooter chase

This is no way to revive your NFL career.

Former Giants safety Tyler Sash was arrested early Saturday for public intoxication and interference with official acts in Oskaloosa, Iowa. That’s the official way of saying Sash tried to evade cops on a scooter, then tried hiding behind a tree before getting tased by cops and placed under arrest.

The trouble started for Sash when police spotted him riding the scooter the wrong way down a major road without his headlights on. He admitted to having six drinks in an hour and refused to take a Breathalyzer. Even after cops shot him with the Taser, he continued to resist arrest.

Sash, a former Iowa Hawkeyes star who spent two seasons with the Giants after being a sixth-round pick in 2011, was cut before the start of the 2013 season. He was suspended for four games in 2012 for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances, a ban he blamed on Adderall.
