Cops discovered an AK-47 assault rifle and a cache of ammo early Wednesday after executing a search warrant at a Bronx apartment, authorities say.

According to police, Steven Walker, 27, Victoria Velez, 23, and Emmanuel Rosado, 24, all of 1160 Forest Avenue, the Bronx, were all charged with criminal possession of a weapon and counts of criminal possession of ammo.

Police received a tip and executed a search warrant at the apartment at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday.

The assault rifle was recovered inside an unlocked closet covered by a blue T-shirt.

Cops also recovered 50 .38-caliber rounds, three 9mm rounds, nine 12-gauge shotgun shells, one pistol magazine, and another 30 round capacity magazine of ammo at the residence in a plastic case next to a couch.
