Mayor Bloomberg’s gun-control group yesterday launched a TV ad that rips at America’s heartstrings with testimonials from Sandy Hook victims’ family who plead for more firearm laws.
“I want to prevent any other family from having to go through what we’re going through,” Chris O’Donnell, whose 7-year-old daughter, Grace, was killed at the school in Newtown, Conn., says in the ad from Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
The ad, the group’s first to feature Newtown relatives, pushes for Connecticut to expand gun-buyer background checks and ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammo clips.
