Aspiring teacher killed in truck-hit horror

A Queens student who aspired to become a special-education teacher was struck and killed by a truck, authorities said yesterday.

Police sources said Juliana Busto, 22, was hit by a 2002 Chevy Avalanche while arguing with her sister in a crosswalk at 47th Street and Laurel Hill Boulevard in Sunnyside at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

She died a short time later, and no criminality is suspected in the accident.

Her father said she told him she was on her way to La Guardia College to work on one of the computers.

“She was a very good daughter,” said grief-stricken José Busto.

He said that Juliana loved children, and volunteered at a local school.

Her uncle, who did not give his name, said that she was very focused on school. “She was full of life and dreaming just to finish her studies,” he said. “Everybody cared for her.”
