Ranking the gimmicks from Cyclones’ ‘Seinfeld’ night

The Brooklyn Cyclones, the Mets’ minor league affiliate, will hold a “Seinfeld” night on July 5 in honor of the show’s 25-year anniversary on July 5.

The festivities will take advantage of the Mets’ ties to the show, notably Keith Hernandez’s role on the sitcom. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Keith Hernandez magic loogie bobblehead in honor of this famous scene:

It’s unlikely Hernandez will attend, because he is scheduled to call the Mets’ game against the Texas Rangers on SNY. The Cyclones say they have reached out to Jerry Seinfeld to see if he could make an appearance.

Here, in order, are our favorite gimmicks the Cyclones have for the game:

1. Hernandez bobblehead.
2. Mailmen, in honor of Newman, get to throw out the first pitch.
3. Latex salesmen get a free ticket.
4. Airing of grievances at information table/renaming the foul poles the Festivus Poles.
5. Players wearing puffy shirts during batting practice.

• Elaine dancing contest.
• Anyone named Jerry gets a head start in postgame running of the bases.
• Game of “Risk” on the concourse.
