Qns. HS bus in Ohio crash

A bus carrying a group of Queens whiz kids hurtling off an Ohio highway yesterday in a scary crash that remarkably resulted in no serious injuries, officials said.

William Cullen Bryant HS’s robot-building team, the Owlbots, were riding in the charter back from the FIRST Robotics Competition in St. Louis when it lost control on eastbound I-70 at about 7:13 a.m., authorities said.

The bus wiped out as it connected on to northbound I-270, according to Columbus police. The charter ended up on a grassy embankment, sitting on its driver’s side.

Fourteen people — 10 juveniles and four adults — were taken to local hospitals for minor injuries, police said.

“All students are now on another bus on their way back to New York City,” New York schools spokeswoman Erin Hughes said last night.

“All parents have been notified and there are additional supports at the school.”
