Friends remember spunky Hofstra slaying victim Andrea Rebello

She wasn’t just a pretty face.

Andrea Rebello, 21, was a stunning social butterfly who plastered party pictures all over social media — but she also had a little-known domestic side in which she cooked, gardened and enjoyed family.

The beloved sorority girl — a junior public- relations major with a sociology minor at Hofstra University — was rarely seen without her twin sister, Jessica, friends and teachers said.

“They were always together — like Velcro,” said a friend, Michelle.

Her former principal at Sleepy Hollow HS called the girls “a set,” adding it was difficult to think of them separately.

“She had a devotion to family and sense of purpose and of opportunity,” said Principal Carol Conklin-Spillane.

Rebello grew up well off in Tarrytown, Westchester, where her father, Fernando, runs a successful landscaping company. In high school, she made the English honor roll. In her yearbook, which features a photo of her in a dark gown, she quoted Benjamin Franklin and Bob Marley. Next to her photo, it reads, “Love the life you live, live the life you love.”

In college, she joined the sorority Beta Sigma Phi, opting to live in an off-campus house with five sorority sisters.

“She would eat, breathe, and sleep their organization,” a pal said.

“She liked to have fun. She’d get in her car and zig-zag in front of me,” said neighbor Harris Bank.

Their house had a garden with fresh veggies, which the twins would sometimes deliver to neighbors.

“They brought me some vegetables from their garden. They’re very nice people. They’d do anything for you,” Bank said.

Andrea was active on Twitter and Instagram, posting sexy and funny shots of herself on the beach, at clubs and kissing friends.

She also kept a blog, writing about making deserts like chocolate-covered strawberries.

She wrote, “I’m 100% Portuguese and have an identical twin sister so I guess that makes me kind of unique?”

On the night she died, she had visited a popular university bar, McHebes, to celebrate the end of the school year, students said.

“The bar was really crowded, and all the sisters were there. They were [going] all-out because it’s the end of school,” said senior Amanda Babyatsky, 22.

She said the sorority had a bad reputation but Andrea had a heart of gold.

“They’re known for being a real bad sorority, but Andrea is a really nice girl,” Babyatsky said.

A group of friends gathered outside her home yesterday afternoon, holding hands and crying.

“I’m devastated for Jessica,” one friend said.
