WATCH: Backstreet Boys poke fun at NSA, Chris Christie with altered song lyrics

Backstreet’s back, and they’re … funny?!

The 1990s boy band Backstreet Boys, fresh off a cameo in the comedy “This is the End” and with an album and tour approaching, appeared on “Late Show with David Letterman” Wednesday to present the group’s Top Ten (altered) song lyrics.

“Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” became a public service announcement about tick infection.

“Quit Playing Games with My Heart” turned into a joke about the NSA’s surveillance practices.

The Men’s Wearhouse guy and Ford cars – yes, Ford cars – were also addressed, as well as New Jersey’s governor: “His secret plan was a gastric band/ So why’s Chris Christie still big as a van?”

Sharp observations, especially in five-part harmony.
