Brought to heel! TSA highlights fashion don’ts for flying – confiscates gun shoes, bullet belt at La Guardia

These killer heels won’t fly.

La Guardia Airport security confiscated a pair of gun-heeled shoes — just like a pair Madonna once rocked — then tweeted travelers a warning not to take the fashion risk.

“What not to wear through a #LGA checkpoint,” a TSA spokeswoman tweeted, along with a photo of the shoes, on July 16.

The black patent-leather heels — which look fit for a James Bond babe — feature small, black pistol-shaped heels much like the controversial Chanel shoes Madge wore to a film premiere in the Big Apple in 2008.

The kitschy kicks — which were handed over before the flight — are a low-brow version of Madonna’s designer heels.

Madonna’s black heels featured leather straps, silver buckles and intricately designed brown-and-black “guns” for heels.

A TSA spokeswoman said she spotted the confiscated shoes in a “prohibited items” section at the airport then snapped a photo and tweeted it.

Next to the shoes was a black belt with mock silver bullets, which she also photographed and tweeted.

“The shoes were replica guns and voluntarily surrendered. No arrest was made and no report taken,” the spokeswoman said.

Both the belt and the shoes were likely handed over voluntarily at a screening point, she said. There are no records tied to the confiscation of the shoes.

It’s unclear who took the fashion risk and what brand or size they are, she said.

Mock weapons in any form aren’t permitted on planes, but the gun heels are permitted in checked luggage, the spokeswoman said.

Passengers can pick up confiscated belongings as “salvaged items” after, but as of July 16, nobody had claimed the killer kicks.

The TSA keeps confiscated items in an area near the lost and found at La Guardia and sometimes offers travelers reminders via Twitter what they can and can’t bring on flights.

In 2008, critics slammed Madonna for wearing the pistol heels, saying the look glorifies gun use.
