Chilling face of a ‘killer’

The Ivy League lawyer accused of beating and strangling his girlfriend in a murder captured on a voicemail was almost unrecognizable in court yesterday with a full red beard and a wild-eyed look.

Jason Bohn, 34, was breathing heavily as his trial date was set for September, when Queens prosecutors will try to prove that he killed Weight Watchers exec Danielle Thomas in a drunken rage in their Astoria apartment last year.

The key piece of evidence will likely be a telephone recording. Thomas’ phone dialed a friend’s number and recorded much of the murder while it happened.

The charges against Bohn were upgraded from second-degree to first-degree murder last year after the recording surfaced and prosecutors determined that Thomas was tortured during the murder.
