NBA: Kings to Seattle?

The NBA will review the agreement for the sale of the Kings to an investor group that reportedly plans to relocate the club from Sacramento to Seattle. The NBA yesterday confirmed Kings owners the Maloof brothers have reached an agreement with a group headed by Christopher Hansen.

Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson, a former NBA player, is reportedly seeking a group to buy the Kings and keep them in Sacramento.

Kirk Hinrich scored 22 points as the Bulls posted a 95-83 win over the Lakers, who have lost six straight games on the road.

Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao has a blood clot in his right lung and will miss the rest of the NBA season.

COLLEGE: NCAA targets Miami

Two Miami assistant coaches have been told they will be charged with “unethical conduct” when the NCAA presents the Hurricanes’ athletic department with its notice of allegations.

CBSSports.com reported former Miami coach and current Missouri basketball coach Frank Haith will also face “unethical conduct and failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance” charges.

Ohio State basketball coach Thad Matta agreed to a revised contract which will give him a 10 percent increase to more than $3.2 million annually and includes academic bonuses and more stringent wording about NCAA violations.
