Tennis player wants name behind anonymous e-mail : court papers

This tennis prodigy has no love for the mean girl who called her a cheater.

A high-ranked tennis player from New York is trying to unmask the person who sent e-mails to college tennis coaches branding her as “someone you most certainly do not want to be . . . on your school’s women’s tennis [team],” according to court papers.

Identifying herself only as “Jane Doe,” the 16-year-old player is asking a Manhattan Supreme Court judge to order Google to reveal the person behind the e-mail mgulelo@gmail.com, which sent the messages.

Two college tennis coaches alerted the player and her family to the e-mails. The player wants to file a defamation lawsuit against her detractor.
