Family disputes brother’s claim that Muhammad Ali’s health is fading

Muhammad Ali’s brother yesterday said the boxing legend is so ill that he may die within days — but Ali’s wife and two daughters quickly knocked down the report.

Ali’s sibling, Rahman Ali, 69, said the 71-year-old “Greatest” was “in a bad way, he’s very sick.

“It could be months; it could be days. I don’t know if he’ll last the summer,” Rahman told The Sun newspaper of Britain.

But Ali’s daughter May May he’s was “fine” and spent last night at his Arizona home watching the Super Bowl wearing a Baltimore Ravens jersey, she said.

“These rumors pop up every once in awhile, but there’s nothing to them,’’ she told The Associated Press, claiming her uncle Rahman is estranged from the family and hasn’t seen her dad since the summer.

Both Ali’s wife, Lonnie, and another daughter, Rasheda, also said the former boxer was OK.
