The husband of Sarai Sierra flew to Turkey when she didn’t return home as scheduled.

Jimenez said on NBC-TV’s “Today” show that her strong faith is helping her cope with the loss.

The 33-year-old Sierra went missing Jan. 21. She went alone to Istanbul to explore her photography hobby. She was found 12 days later with a fatal blow to the head.

Turkish authorities have submitted DNA samples from an autopsy for testing.

Jimenez said her daughter was fascinated with Turkey’s history, especially its bridges.

There have been no arrests.
