Wave of gun violence leaves 4 dead across NYC

Four men are dead after a bloody night of gun violence swept through the city in separate incidents Sunday, authorities said.

The first shooting occurred outside the Edenwald Houses on East 225th Street in The Bronx, where Andre Hanson, 26, was found by police at around 4:40 p.m. with a gunshot wound through his left armpit, cops said.

Hanson was rushed to Montefiore Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

About an hour later, Ivan Martinez, 29, was found dead with a gunshot wound in the head outside an apartment building on Suydam Avenue near Irving Avenue in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, cops said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said.

Aaron Utsey, 21, was shot multiple times in the torso on Mother Gaston Boulevard near Liberty Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn, around 8:40 p.m., cops said. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he died, authorities said.

Also in Brooklyn, Eric Lantimo, 22, was shot twice in the back of the head and once in the right shoulder on the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Tilden Avenue around 11 p.m., cops said. He died at Kings County Hospital, officials said.

There have been no arrests.
