She loves a cop killer — and cocaine, too.
A federal prison guard who got pregnant after secret jailhouse trysts with double-cop killer Ronell Wilson tested positive for having cocaine in her system, federal prosecutors said at her arraignment today.
Nancy Gonzalez, 29, got coked up before her arrest last month to deal with “stress,” her lawyer Anthony Ricco admitted to Brooklyn Federal magistrate Judge James Orenstein.
The shocking disclosure came as Gonzalez — who is due to give birth to the cold-blooded killer Wilson’s baby on March 20 — was arraigned on a single count of having unlawful sex with an inmate.
Prosecutors charged that Gonzalez — who appeared happy and smiled at reporters during the brief proceeding — had failed a drug test and asked that she be put in a treatment program.
The judge said he would pass that request along to Pre-trial Services, which would make the final decision.
Ricco said his client, who was wearing jeans, a grey sweater-blouse and black coat, had used cocaine in the past and admitted she got coked up even though she was in the later stages of her pregnancy
“She admitted that she had a relapse and she used cocaine prior to her being arrested,” Defense attorney Anthony Ricco.
Her struggle with cocaine was brought on by “stress, caused by her impending arrest and her personal circumstances,” he said.
It was also disclosed that in 2011 she had failed a drug test administered by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and had been ordered into mandatory drug treatment over several months that year.
The lawyer then blamed the Huntington, LI, resident’s drug woes on her youth.
“We forget that Nancy Gonzalez is young. She’s 29, and young people deal with stress differently. They make errors of judgment,” he said, adding that, “She fully intends to raise the child.”
The judge said the court would accommodate her schedule when setting her next court date.
Ricci predicted the case would be settled before trial, adding that the public doesn’t know the real Gonzalez
“We anticipate an early disposition,” he said. “I think ultimately you’re going to discover a very beautiful and complicated young woman who is trying to find peace for herself.”
Gonzalez faces up to 15 years behind bars.
Her baby-daddy Wilson was convicted of the cold-blooded murders of NYPD Detectives Rodney Andrews and James Nemorin on Staten Island.
Wilson, a gang member, shot Andrews and Nemorin in a car at point-blank range as they were working an undercover gun buy-and-bust operation.
He was sentenced to death but that was overturned on a technicality and he faces a new penalty phase trial where he could be sentenced to lethal injection or life behind bars.
