March badness!

Coming soon to television screens and arenas near you, the March Madness version of “What Not to Wear.”

Several college basketball teams with designs on being a part of the NCAA Tournament, including a few of the most tradition-bound programs in the sport such as Kansas, UCLA and Notre Dame, have agreed to wear what Adidas is calling its “camo impact” uniforms.

For those who remember the 1980s, think Zubaz. Only shorter. And, if possible, uglier.

Kansas coach Bill Self said his team won’t wear the uniforms beyond the Big 12 Tournament. Be thankful, America, for such small favors.

“Kansas tradition and history should be what is promoted … in our look,” Self said, “and we’ve done that for years. But this is the one game where we will make that exception for Adidas.”

Now if we can just get the other teams to follow the Jayhawks’ lead.
