Jason Kidd, the 10-time NBA All-Star — who is not exactly getting stellar reviews in his current role as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, despite its $100 million payroll — has also been busy house hunting in New York.
Kidd was recently spotted leaving Town Residential’s sales office in the Crown Building for the new Charles apartments at 1355 First Ave. We hear that Kidd checked out several units — including a four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 3,448-square-foot stunner on the 14th floor now in contract, along with others in the $5 million to $10 million range.
Each of The Charles’ full-floor residences comes with private elevator landings and interior design by David Collins Studio. Town recently held a launch party for the seriously luxe condo at The London NYC Hotel.
Madonna was on her way to the event — she was close with Collins, who passed away in July after battling cancer. However, as she pulled up, she was spooked by an onslaught of paparazzi.
Don’t worry, Madge. They weren’t for you! Robert De Niro was also at the London that night to celebrate the upcoming release of his star-studded film “Last Vegas” with Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas and Kevin Kline.
