‘Game of Thrones’ plays ‘Where’s Waldo?’ with writer

‘Game of Thrones” creator George RR Martin is pulling a “Where’s Waldo?”

Martin will appear on-screen in the show’s upcoming third season — though where, and how, remains to be seen.

“You will see him,” “Thrones” executive producer David Benioff told dateline.com, without specifying what role Martin will play, or in which episode he will appear.

The third season of “Thrones,” one of HBO’s most popular shows — and one of its most expensive to produce — premieres Sunday, March 31.

This won’t be Martin’s first “Thrones” appearance, however, since he filmed a cameo for the series pilot — which ended up being edited out after most of the pilot was reshot.

HBO has not yet announced whether “Thrones” will return for a fourth season — though it’s widely expected to return.
