PS 261 has ‘gnarly’ bathrooms with broken toilets: parent

This is nothing to poo-poo.

Moms are making a big stink over a Brooklyn elementary school’s toilets, which are so rundown that children are “holding it in” instead of braving the facilities.

The bathrooms at PS 261 in Boerum Hill have broken faucets and flushers, so the bowls are often filled.

There are no soap or towel dispensers, and some doors won’t lock in the stalls shared by nearly 800 students.

“They’re really gnarly,” said Lucinda Rosenfeld, mother of one PS 261 second-grader. “There’s terrible smells because kids can’t flush . . . and ancient sinks that only have cold water.”

Rosenfeld realized the school’s potties were going to pot when her daughter came home with stomachaches from waiting until she got home to use the WC.
