‘Arrested Development’ bows in late May

The highly anticipated reboot of “Arrested Development” will premiere later next month on Netflix.

The cult sitcom, which aired on Fox from 2003-2006, will bow Sunday, May 26 — with Netflix releasing all 15 episodes simultaneously, just like it did with “House of Cards” earlier this year.

“Development” fans have been clamoring for a show reunion for quite some time, and show creator Mitch Hurwitz was able to corral all of the show’s original stars — including Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor, Michael Cera and David Cross — to reprise their roles in the continuing saga of the wacky Bluth family.

Hurwitz says that each episode will be told from the point of view of a different character — which helped when he was negotiating with the show’s stars to return for the series.

“Development” also stars Jessica Walter and Will Arnett.

It’s believed that this will be the resuscitated show’s one and only new season.

There’s also been talk of an “Arrested Development” movie.

“There are many, many questions that these episodes ask that only the movie will answer,” Bateman told GQ magazine.

“And there are many stories where the loop is closed inside the episodes. But the overall story, the bigger story, once you see the movie you will see that ‘Oh, this story started with those fourteen episodes,’ because the action in these 14 episodes happens simultaneously.”
