Sarah Jessica Parker regularly turned to the stylist to whip together her most stunning red-carpet looks, telling told the Telegraph UK in 2011: “L’Wren has an extraordinary ability to make dresses that genuinely flatter a woman. She makes an unbelievably contemporary dress in a remarkably old-fashioned way for all sorts of women and body types.”

In 2011, Penélope Cruz chose a figure-flattering red sequined gown by Scott to make her post-baby debut at the Academy Awards. The actress shined on the red carpet and went on to own the best dress list.

Amy Adams

In 2011, Amy Adams was up for Best Actress for her role in “The Fighter.” The star opted for a navy sequined gown by Scott for her potentially award-winning number. The gown’s bright blue color, paired with her emerald green Cartier jewels, complemented her bright red hair.

At the Oscars in 2009, Nicole Kidman, chose a white feathered column gown by Scott — her close friend — then turned to the designer again for the 2013 awards, wearing a black and gold gown. “She knows what aspects to accentuate in a woman, and is able to make you feel incredibly sexy and sophisticated when you are in one of her exquisite designs,” Kidman told the UK’s Telegraph in 2011.

Tina Fey, at the 2013 Oscars, turned on the sex appeal in a black and cream floral dress by Scott. Her side-swept hair complemented the dress’ sweetheart design.

Angelina Jolie was always a fan of Scott’s no-fuss aesthetic. She wore the designer’s simple LBD for the New York premiere of “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” in 2007. And Jolie, it was rumored, chose Scott to design her wedding gown for her eventual marriage to Brad Pitt.

The “Mad Men” actress accentuated her curves in a spectrum of the designer’s bold blue designs. “L’Wren’s clothes make you feel like a sexy pinup, a sophisticated lady and a rock star all at once,” Hendricks told the UK’s Telegraph in 2011. “She designs for how women want to look and for what men want to look at.”
