GOOD ‘4’TUNE – MIRACLE OF ‘DOUBLE TWINS’

A woman who suffered 11 heartbreaking miscarriages in her desperate bid to become a mom has finally landed her dream family: four biological children – in one week.

Tasha Riddle’s quadruple miracle began when her best pal, Raquel Mitola, agreed to become a surrogate mother for her and gave birth to Ayala Raquel Riddle and Jalen Wade Riddle, in Crescent City, Ore., on May 10.

But that’s only half the story.

Just after Mitola had been implanted with Riddle’s fertilized eggs, Riddle discovered that she was miraculously pregnant with twins herself. She went on to deliver Lennon and Mirra in nearby Coos Bay, Ore., eight days after Mitola gave birth.

“It’s a total blessing,” said an overjoyed Riddle, feeding Ayala as her husband, John, tended to Lennon and checked the schedule to see which of the four needed to be fed, bathed or diapered next.

“I am so fortunate to have [Mitola] as a friend,” Riddle, 35, said. “It was just an incredible gift she gave us. I can’t imagine what it would be like not having all four, I love them so much.” Riddle had all but given up hope that she would ever have children after the string of miscarriages.

So Mitola – married and with two grown children – offered to help her pal.

In November, she was implanted with some of Riddle’s eggs, which had been fertilized for the in-vitro procedure. Still, doctors gave the pregnancy only a 50-50 chance.

With nothing to lose, the fertility doctor implanted the remaining fertilized eggs in Riddle.

A few weeks later, Mitola called her best buddy with the good news. She was pregnant with twins.

Ten days later, Riddle learned she, too, was pregnant.

When Mitola gave birth and “we saw our babies for the first time, it was love at first sight,” Riddle said.

Mitola said she has no regrets about handing the babies over to the Riddles.

She said everyone warned her that she would go through a period of depression.

But she said she feels only happiness.

“It was really something when they held the babies,” she said of the new parents. “They were so happy, and I cried, too.

They have so much love for them.”
