ISLANDERS ON MEND

The Islanders seem to be healing, at last.

First, goalie Rick DiPietro got back on the ice. Now, defenseman Chris Campoli is close to returning from a shoulder injury that has sidelined him since last month – after he had recovered from season-ending surgery on his shoulder last January.

“It’s frustrating because I haven’t played a full game in such a long time,” Campoli said following practice yesterday.

He could be in the lineup tonight when the Isles host the Stars (7 p.m., MSG+, WMJC-94.3 FM).

The Isles signed Mark Parrish to a 25-game professional tryout with Bridgeport of the AHL. The former Islander was bought out by Minnesota in the offseason and was without a team. Coach Scott Gordon didn’t rule out the possibility Parrish could make it back to the parent team.
