JOBA THE MUTT

It’s a good thing that Joba Chamberlain was insulted and stormed out of that bar (“Beer & a Potshot for Joba,” Oct. 21). Imagine what could have happened if he stayed much longer and kept on drinking.

He probably would have gotten in his car and killed someone. When Joba goes out to pitch next season, opposing teams should call him names – that way, he will storm off the mound and sulk in the dugout.

Joba didn’t commit such a heinous crime, but his drunk driving easily could have killed some innocent victim.

He may be a “nice guy,” but when Hank Steinbrenner calls him a “really good kid,” I’d like to counter that by saying that really good kids never drink and drive.
