A-Rod is already putting the kibosh on Kabbalah.
Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez has been backing out of his private Kabbalah classes and it’s reportedly driving a wedge between A-Rod and Madonna, according to a report on msnbc.com.
“He’s basically a Kabbalah school dropout,” a source close to the Kabbalah Centre told msnbc.com. “This is certainly off-putting to Madonna.”

The source said that Rodriguez has been canceling classes with spiritual leader Eitan Yardeni at the last minute and that “he hasn’t even finished Kabbalah 1 and the majority of the time he’s spent with Yardeni so far was for counseling, not study.”
A-Rod, 33, has been linked to Madonna, 50, and her mystical religion since his marriage to former wife Cynthia began to crumble and the Material Mom’s union with Guy Ritchie was on the rocks.
Rodriguez was photographed with Yardeni in New York, when rumors of his relationship with Madonna first began.
But apparently A-Rod’s fascination with Kabbalah is waning.
“[Madonna] did drag Guy into Kabbalah, she’s doing the same now (with Rodriguez),” MSNBC’s source said. “But he’s bored.”
Madonna, meanwhile, is keeping busy with her “Sticky & Sweet” tour, which she says is providing “a distraction that keeps me going.”
“I’m sad about my personal life, but I feel very blessed and very lucky that I have the opportunity to do what I do in my professional life,” Madonna told the Associated Press. “It would be horrible if I was just thinking about getting a divorce and had nothing to do.”
Madonna and Ritchie are still trying to finalize the terms of their divorce and are reportedly in a nasty fight over the custody of their sons Rocco, 8, and David, 3.
In addition to her tour, Madonna has been promoting her film “I Am Because We Are,” a documentary about poverty in the African nation of Malawi, the country where she and Ritchie adopted David.
