Two firefighters and a motorist were injured yesterday when a firetruck collided with a car in Hell’s Kitchen shortly after morning rush hour, officials said.
The firefighters were answering a call when their truck flipped the car over at 11th Avenue and 44th Street just before 9:30 a.m., a department spokesman said.
The two firefighters and the car’s driver were treated for minor injuries at New York Hospital.
Traffic along that stretch of 11th Avenue was closed for nearly an hour.
Another fire company was called in to help after the accident.
