There was plenty of smart thinking in the nationwide Intel Science Talent Search – with 26 brainy teens hitting the $1,000 semifinalist jackpot for the second straight year.
Stuyvesant HS in Manhattan led city schools with 10 semifinalists, followed by Bronx HS of Science with nine in their quest for a chunk of the $1.25 million in sholarships.
