The last piece of the ramp that echoed with the painful steps of relatives of 9/11 victims, a pope, a president and others who made their somber way down to the bedrock of Ground Zero to pay their respects, was removed yesterday.
The 460-foot-long ramp, built after the 2001 terror attacks, allowed construction equipment access to the pit of the World Trade Center.
