DISGRACED POL JAILED

Disgraced former state Assemblywoman Diane Gordon turned herself in yesterday to begin serving her two- to six-year sentence for accepting a promise of a free house in return for political favors.

Gordon, 59, was ousted from the Assembly last April after a jury convicted her of offering to help developer Ranjan Batheja get a city contract to develop an empty tract. A stay of sentence, issued by an appeals court, had expired.

The shamed East New York pol arrived at Brooklyn Supreme Court at 5:10p.m., just five minutes before Justice Plummer Lott threatened to issue a warrant for her arrest.

“Sentence is executed,” Lott said. “Good luck, Ms. Gordon.”
