Don’t Miss: ‘About a Boy’ in the ER; ‘Goldbergs’ fit for duty

“The Millers” (Thursday, 8:30 p.m., CBS)


If you want to know what’s up with TV has-beens who are not on “Dancing With the Stars,” watch this week’s episode of “The Millers.” Worried that his mother has made him feel like he’s better than other people, Nathan (Will Arnett) befriends a hopeless co-worker, Doug (Andy Richter, inset right, hugging Arnett), who turns out to be a social outcast and more than Nathan knows how to handle. Meanwhile, Tom (Beau Bridges) and Adam (Nelson Franklin) argue about who’s smarter and take an online test to find out. Roseanne Barr plays Doug’s mother, Darla.


“About a Boy” (Tuesday, 9 p.m., NBC)

With Fiona (Minnie Driver) working late all the time, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) finally gets his own house key, but he quickly loses his mom’s trust when Will (David Walton) has to rush him to the emergency room following an untimely incident with a knife. However, Marcus’ misfortune has a silver lining for Will when he crosses paths with Dr. Samantha Lake (guest star Adrianne Palicki), a beautiful and charming doctor who comes to Marcus’ aid. Will is instantly smitten and stops at nothing in his attempts to win her over.


“NCIS” (Tuesday, 8 p.m., CBS)

When the body of Congressman Dan McLane, a former NCIS agent, washes ashore in New Orleans, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) joins forces with his former colleague, NCIS Special Agent Dwayne Cassius Pride (Scott Bakula). The men must determine if the murder was politically based or linked to McLane’s most well-known case, the arrest of the Privileged Killer, a serial murderer who targeted military and public servants. Meanwhile, Bishop (Emily Wickersham) sends DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), tracking connections to the case from his desk in Washington, DC, a special souvenir from the Crescent City. The righteous CCH Pounder appears as Jefferson Parish coroner Loretta Wade.


“The Goldbergs” (Tuesday, 9 p.m., ABC)

Adam (Sean Giambrone) is terrified of the upcoming Presidential Physical Fitness Test so Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) decides to write him a note to get out of the test. The plan backfires when the gym teacher declares the only way to excuse Adam is a presidential pardon and soon finds Beverly on a mission. Meanwhile, Erica’s (Hayley Orrantia) French pen pal Fanny (Bella Dayne) comes to visit and Barry (Troy Gentile) begs Erica to help him parler francais to impress her.


“Scandal” (Thursday, 9 p.m., ABC)

Abby Whelan (Darby Stanchfield) steps in as Olivia’s (Kerry Washington) proxy and takes on duties at the White House. Meanwhile, the team continues to investigate B613, and someone throws a wrench in Reston’s (Tom Amandes) presidential campaign.

 

 


“American Pickers” (Wednesday, 9 p.m., History Channel)

History Channel
The deals are flying when a Colorado property turns out to be a mega-pick. Down the road in Massachusetts, Mike and Frank visit a one-of-a-kind classic car collection where they bid huge money on a 1961 Messerschmitt. Meanwhile in Nashville, Danielle lines up a potential buyer for the rare Fiat cutaway car the guys shipped back from Italy.
