The family of a Brooklyn boy who fell to his death in an elevator shaft wants a judge to spare the boy’s brother, who witnessed the tragedy, from having to answer painful questions.

Jakob Neuman, 5, died in August when he and his brother, Israel, tried to jump to safety after a mechanical failure inside their Clymer Street building.

Justice Wayne Saitta assigned a court-appointed psychologist to determine how much harm the deposition would cause the 7-year-old Israel.
