BETWEEN LOVE & GOODBYE

CASPER Andreas, who directed the smuttily hilarious “Slutty Summer,” gets bogged down in a dreary gay soap opera with “Between Love and Goodbye.”

Manhattan singer Kyle (Simon Miller) is so smitten with hunky French actor Marcel (Justin Tensen) that he arranges a green-card marriage to a lesbian pal (Jane Elliott, who provides some much-needed levity).

But Kyle and Marcel’s relationship is threatened by Marcel’s promiscuity – and by their houseguest, Kyle’s sister April (Rob Harmon), a former male who abruptly decides he wants to be a guy again.

Either way, he/she’s a jerk, and the movie is a snooze.

Running time: 97 minutes. Not rated (sex, nudity). At the Chelsea, 23rd Steet and Eighth Avenue.
