CATHOLIC-SCHOOL ROBBERY SPREE

Two brazen thugs preying on Catholic schools in Brooklyn and Queens have now struck 11 institutions, cops said yesterday.

The string of thefts, first reported by The Post, began Nov. 22 – and have netted the pair as little as $500 and as much as $19,000.

According to cops, the thieves usually choose a secluded area of a school and use bolt cutters to open a window gate or door.

They then head to the principal’s office to look for a safe that they break into.

But in the case of the Holy Family School in Flushing, Queens, last week, the crooks carried the heavy metal safe from the building – with $19,000 in checks and cash inside.
